Service Description

(Includes over £100 worth of art supplies, digital scanning and a small print run) This course brings landscapes to life and will have you enjoying your everyday journeys in a whole new way — as you begin to see our beautiful surroundings through fresh, creative eyes. You’ll gain skills and confidence in art-making, while also getting a rare glimpse behind the scenes of the professional processes used by a working artist. This is a highly personalised, small-group course, with plenty of hands-on guidance and tailored support throughout. If you have a particular landscape/scene in mind that brings you joy/happy memories - we would love to help you include it and paint from it. Even if you don't have a photo of it but can tell us the location name - we may be able to help you source a good quality image of the place to work from. The course is booked in a 6 week block, but if you are unable to attend a session, don't worry, you will receive a voucher to use on a future workshop instead. You’ll receive a bespoke, personal art supplies kit, carefully curated by hand in our studio. This kit is yours to keep and will go home with you after each session, so you can continue creating between classes if you wish. Your kit includes: Sketchbook & notebook Watercolour paper & transfer paper A wide variety of paintbrushes Pencils, charcoal & stationery Viewfinder Watercolour paints Acrylic paints Cases, organiser insert & carry bag (During sessions, you’ll also have access to additional studio paints, supplies, and canvases.) COURSE OUTCOMES Together, we’ll explore composition ideas, experiment with different styles and techniques, and discover our own favourite ways of working. Over the duration of the course, we’ll aim to create 6–10 finished artworks inspired by Manx landscapes. For paper work, 1 A5 and 1 A4 frame are included per person, but more will be available to purchase from us at cost price, should you wish. Final Session: From Artwork to Print In the final session, you’ll learn how to scan and digitise your artwork, and how to order a small print run from one (or more) of your favourite pieces. These prints make thoughtful gifts — or could be the first step towards gaining confidence in selling your work locally or online. At the end of the course, we may also arrange a small, private viewing to celebrate the group’s work, if desired by participants.
